Terms and Conditions for Red River Gorge Shuttle LLC

Reservation and Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. We accept all major credit cards, or cash if payment is in person upon pickup. 

  •   Bicycle Fee $10 per bike           

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fee: Cancellations regardless of time frame are subject to a reprocessing fee of $10.00 USD.  

Cancellation Deadline: To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made before 12:00 PM (noon) on the day prior to your scheduled departure.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made after 12:00 PM on the day prior to departure will not be eligible for a refund.

No-Shows: Failure to be present at the designated pickup location at the scheduled departure time will be considered a “no-show,” and no refund will be provided.

 

Punctuality and Pickup Responsibility

Pickup Locations – Louisville, Lexington, and Miguel’s Pizza:
There is no grace period for late arrivals at scheduled pickup locations in Louisville, Lexington, and Miguel’s Pizza. The shuttle will typically wait up to 10 minutes after its arrival at each location. If the passenger is not within sight of the shuttle and signaling that they are ready and approaching, the shuttle will depart.
Passengers who are not present or prepared to board during this window will be considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.

Return Trips – Round-Trip Passengers to Louisville and Lexington:
For passengers scheduled for return transport to Louisville or Lexington, a 30-minute grace period will be granted at the pickup point to help ensure no one is left behind. This grace period is structured as follows:

    • A $20 late fee will be charged for the first 10 minutes past the scheduled pickup time.

    • An additional $10 late fee will be added for every 10 minutes thereafter, up to a maximum of 30 minutes.

    • These fees will be invoiced the same evening and must be paid in full prior to booking or boarding future shuttle trips.

    • If no communication has been received from the passenger by the end of the 30-minute grace period, the shuttle will depart.
      Passengers left behind under these circumstances will not receive a refund, and late fees will still be due.

  1. Passenger Conduct
  • Respectful Behavior: Passengers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and orderly manner at all times.
  • Prohibited Behavior: Displays of discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, or able-ism, are strictly prohibited. Such behavior may result in immediate expulsion from the shuttle, and no refund will be provided.
  1. Restroom Usage
  • Scheduled Stops: The shuttle will make scheduled stops along the route to allow passengers to use restrooms.
  • Off-Route Requests: Passengers should use the restroom facilities at these scheduled stops. The shuttle will not deviate from its route to accommodate off-route restroom requests.
  1. Timeliness at Stops
  • Reboarding: It is important for passengers to reboard the shuttle promptly within 10min after each stop. The shuttle will adhere to a schedule, and delays in reboarding may affect the itinerary.
  1. Onboard Policies
  • Movement Restrictions: Passengers must remain seated with seatbelts fastened while the vehicle is in motion, unless it is an emergency.
  • Prohibited Items: Consumption of alcohol, drugs, or any illicit substances is prohibited onboard.
  • Food and Beverages: All drinks must have lids.
  • Personal Items: Personal items should be stowed under the seat in front of you or in your lap. Items should not obstruct aisles or exits.
  • Cleanliness: Passengers are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. If a mess is made, please clean it to the best of your ability. 
  1. Lost and Found
  • Item Retrieval: Lost items will be kept for 30 days. After this period, items not claimed cannot be guaranteed to be retained.
  1. Liability
  • Personal Responsibility: Red River Gorge Shuttle LLC is not responsible for personal injuries, lost or damaged personal belongings, or any other incidents that occur during the trip, except where required by law. The bus will remain unlocked when parked at its mid-day destination (usually Muir Valley) bring all valuables with you. Passengers should notify the driver if there’s something they need to be secured on the bus while participants and driver are away from the vehicle.
  • Damage to Vehicle: Passengers are responsible for any damage they cause to the vehicle. A fee will be assessed to cover repair costs for any damage caused by a passenger.
  1. Modifications to Terms
  • Policy Changes: Red River Gorge Shuttle LLC reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to passengers prior to their trip with Red River Gorge Shuttle LLC, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
