Meet our team Noah Havlik : Owner/Driver
Noah first visited the Red River Gorge with his best friend and their family when he was just 10 year old. Little did he know that it would change the trajectory of his life. Picking up hiking and backpacking in high school, he found freedom in going out in nature. After finding rock climbing 10 years ago, he decided he would make the Red River Gorge his second home and it has continued to shape his life. “Starting the Red River Gorge Shuttle is a way for me to find purpose in my work and reduce the barriers to others so that they can access the same landscape that changed my life.”
Our Mission
Our misson is to provide a reliable, affordable transit to and from the Red River Gorge for climbers, hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone else who wants to get to where we’re going. We Believe that access to nature shouldn’t have to rely on car ownership. By offering this service, we hope to significantly reduce the environmental impact of traveling to the Red River Gorge, while creating a portal between the these two communities to easily access each other.
Our Vision
Accessibility goals
Currently we do not have a vehicle fitted with handicap accessible equipment to transport those who are wheelchair bound. Our goal is to change that by 2026 by installing a compliant wheelchair lift. We apologize to anyone who cannot utilize our services due to our lack of such equipment. It is our number one priority in upgrading our services.
Environmental goals
While we recognize and are proud to be reducing vehicle miles. We are still consuming fuel to conduct business. Our environmental goals for the shuttle are to retool our fleet as we can afford to increase the efficiency of our service. With the ultimate goal of launching an all electric fleet by 2030. While electric vehicles are not perfect, the use of such technology in a public transit application has the potential to quickly offset the emissions created during charging and vehicle creation. A percentage of profits will go to this mission every year, but we will still need your help to make this possible.
